What is a Cellar Door? A cellar door is created to bring beautiful flavours and great wine offers to those who have a passion for a good drop!
The wines are made available to the Cellar Door direct from the Pyrenees Region’s wineries. The Wine Store provides a central location for wineries to showcase their wines in a retail outlet in the centre of Avoca, and provides connoisseurs with a one-stop shop to taste the varieties, explore tasting notes, and to take advantage of the special offers available in the district.
Come and sample the delights from wineries such as Blue Pyrenees Estate, Dalwhinnie Wines, Taltarni Vineyards and Summerfield Wine, and many, many more.
The Store extends special offers of these award-winning varieties and hosts a series of regular wine tasting events featuring the local winemakers. Click here for more information…
The Store will also bring to you an exclusive selection of Pyrenees Region produce, including such delicacies as olives, olive oils and berries, all of which are perfect accompaniments to the great grape! Come and take the opportunity to try out these local treats.
The Café
Come for brekkie…
Our local butcher has his own smokehouse and all our ham, bacon, small goods and sausages are created under his watchful eye. Combined with country fresh eggs, healthy wholesome breads and a smooth, well-rounded espresso, the day starts with the exuberance required to take on a schedule of festivals and vineyard hopping!
Come for brunch or lunch…
Smoked salmon, hams, rabbit pie, lasagna, hearty vegetable soups, Shepherd’s pie, Ploughman’s Platter, individual gourmet pizzas, healthy salads and selection of gourmet cheeses…mouth watering?
And, all meals are served in liberal country portions!
Come for coffee or tea…
We serve ‘real’ Italian coffee…and our baristas have been trained at the internationally recognised Lavazza Coffee School.
We serve gourmet teas and chai lattes and offer a wide selection including loose leaf black teas, green teas, herbal teas and fruit teas.
And of course, Chai tea, now so popular, can be made with soy, skim or full cream milk.
Come and see the Red Gum furniture that has been specifically designed for The Store. Cleverly hand-crafted and made from local Red Gum, orders can be placed to purchase any of these handsome creations.
 Gift Vouchers and Gift Hampers
Cruising through the country and having time to savour the countryside, allow you to find that special gift for a friend or family member. Are there any gourmands in your circle? What an ideal opportunity to try the local produce and to take it home to those whom you know will respond to your generosity with absolute delight.
The Store can also arrange for the wines to be shipped to your designated destination.
